Terms of Service
Plain-language summary: AUTO MIX mixes audio files you upload. There is a free tier and there are paid plans. Only upload music you have the right to use. Your finished mix is yours; you’re responsible for the rights to the tracks in it. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. The service is provided as-is.
1. What the service does
AUTO MIX (“the Service”), operated by Somtoo Solutions, takes audio files you provide and produces a single beat-matched, mastered mix, along with a tracklist, chapters and cover image, and can build a video from it.
Some of it is free and needs no account; a signed-in free account gets more. Paid plans (“Creator” and “Studio”) raise the limits and unlock the lossless master, higher export resolutions, and exports without our badge. Video is exported by your own browser in every case. What each tier includes is set out in the pricing section of the home page, and the limits the Service applies are the ones your account reports.
2. Your content and your responsibility
- You must own the audio you upload, or have the licenses and permissions needed to reproduce, adapt and distribute it. This includes rights to the sound recordings and the underlying compositions.
- You are solely responsible for how you use the mix you create — including any public upload to SoundCloud, YouTube or elsewhere. AUTO MIX does not clear rights for you.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, malware, or that you have no right to process.
3. Licence you grant us
To provide the Service, you grant Somtoo Solutions a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, transmit, decode, analyse and transform the files you upload, and to generate and store the resulting mix and artifacts. This licence exists only so we can run the Service for you and ends when the files are deleted (see the Privacy Policy for retention periods — roughly 7 days for uploads and 30 days for finished mixes). We do not claim ownership of your uploads or your mixes and we do not use them to train models or for any purpose other than producing your mix.
4. Your mix
As between you and us, the mix you generate is yours. Whether you may lawfully use or distribute it depends entirely on the rights in the underlying tracks, which is your responsibility (see section 2).
5. Paid plans, billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are sold by Somtoo Solutions. Your contract for the purchase is with us: we issue the invoice and we are responsible for the Service. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., which handles the card on our behalf — card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and never reach us.
- Price and term. Creator is $4.99 per month and Studio is $9.99 per month. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay; where VAT applies it is itemised there before you confirm.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically each month until cancelled, and each renewal is charged on the anniversary of the purchase.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, from Manage or cancel subscription in the app sidebar — two clicks, no email required. You can also write to hello@automix.app. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It is not a refund of the current month, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Failed payments. If a renewal fails, the plan continues while the payment is retried and then lapses to the free tier.
- Changes to prices or tiers. We may change what a plan costs or includes. Changes take effect at your next renewal, never during a period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Beyond the statutory withdrawal right in section 6, refunds are at our discretion and are handled by us directly. Write to hello@automix.app and we will support a reasonable request.
Lapsing or downgrading to the free tier does not delete your mixes, but the free tier’s limits then apply to what you can export and download.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer in the EU you generally have 14 days from concluding the contract to withdraw from it without giving a reason.
Because a subscription gives you immediate access to a digital service, that right ends early once you have expressly consented to performance beginning immediately and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. We ask for that consent at checkout, and you have to give it before the payment is taken. Where you have not given it, or performance has not begun, the right is unaffected.
To withdraw, send a clear statement within the period to hello@automix.app. No particular form of words is required, and the address above works too.
7. Acceptable use
- Don’t abuse, overload, probe or attempt to break the Service or its limits.
- Don’t resell the Service or pass it off as your own.
- Don’t use it to infringe anyone’s rights or to process content you know is illegal.
We may rate-limit, block or remove content and access that breaches these terms.
8. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with no guarantee of uptime, output quality, or fitness for a particular purpose — except that nothing here limits the statutory rights a consumer has in respect of a paid service. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and free-tier limits may change; where that affects a plan you are paying for, section 5 applies.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somtoo Solutions is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost data or lost profits, or for claims arising from your use of a mix you created. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we need to for legal or operational reasons. If we end a paid plan for a reason that is not your breach, we refund the unused part of the period.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date below reflects the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
12. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. If you are a consumer, that does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. Who operates the Service, and the postal address for notices, is on the Impressum. Questions: hello@automix.app.
